Please Be Kind

Please be kind to our NHS teams.

Unfortunately staff working within various departments at NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin have been subjected to various kinds of abuse in recent weeks.

During the last two years staff have been on the receiving end of increasing frustration from patients and we want to be very clear – abuse is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Small acts of kindness, such as a ‘thank you’, can make a positive impact on someone’s day, and help staff feel valued about the difference they are making to people’s lives.

Please remember our NHS services rely on the sheer hard work and dedication of our amazing teams.

Please be kind to them.

We are currently experiencing a high volume of telephone calls to the surgery & we are working at full capacity.
We would appreciate your patience as it may take longer to answer your call.
Thank you for your understanding.
10.6.22 COVID 19 UPDATE
We have received a further update regarding the requirement to wear face masks in the surgery.
With immediate effect you are no longer required to wear a face mask when entering the surgery, unless you have any respiratory symptoms.
Our clinical team will be continuing to wear masks during your consultations and our admin staff will be wearing them when in any clinical areas.
If patients visiting the surgery would prefer to still wear a face covering, please continue to do so.
Thanks to all patients for their continued support & understanding

Women's Health Survey

A Women’s Health Project Group is asking: How can we make it easier for women in Shropshire and Mid Wales to get advice on their health?

Figures show that women are not coming forwards for screening or asking for help with the menopause. A group made up of local NHS providers and patient representatives across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Mid Wales is trying to find out the reasons why.

A survey has been launched to ask the views of women on breast and cervical screening, as well as the menopause, and can be accessed here:

The results will be used to shape future women’s services in the area and we are therefore encouraging all women to take part.

The survey is the first of its kind in the area and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. All information provided will be anonymous and the closing date for the survey is Monday 28 February 2022.

Once the survey results are collated they will be analysed and shared with NHS providers and patient representatives to see how improvements can be made.

For more information on the survey or paper copies please email: or ring 01743 261000 ext. 2390.

Unfortunately we are not able to help with accessing LFT kits. Please follow these links to the portal and public health websites and

  • Prescription Ordering

18/03/2020 - The Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin CCG’s Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) service has been experiencing a huge increase in demand. For example, on Monday the Telford and Wrekin POD service received more than 15,000 calls compared to the usual number of just over 2,000.

We would like to remind people that there is absolutely no need to order your prescriptions earlier than usual, or order more than you need and stockpile. Patients should continue to order their prescriptions as normal, when they are due. We’re also seeing a knock-on effect at our local community pharmacies who are also under a lot of pressure.

We would like to thank all our patients for their cooperation during this time.
